Synopsis
The anti-war short film The Debt deals with themes of loss, trust, and betrayal in a dystopian near-future Finland where war is raging. The film examines, through the history of two women in a prison cell, how war and the traumas experienced by the characters in the past have shaped and continue to shape the women's identities and views of the surrounding world. The Debt offers its audience much to ponder, but also presents the possibility of the healing power of life and love, even amidst the devastation caused by war
