Bigâne (Alienation)

Irem's hazy dreams and the invisible cracks in their relationship are the outward shadows of Ateş's inner darkness. As Ateş becomes trapped between his desires, emptiness, and impulses, he flees from himself; Irem, on the other hand, approaches the truth through her intuition. Neither therapy nor escape can stop this collapse. Their relationship silently falls apart; Irem leaves, and Ateş is left in the midst of his own loneliness. Finally, at the point where all denial collapses, he is forced to ask himself: "I'm not okay... what about you?"
