Synopsis
Set in the humid, neon-lit sprawl of Guwahati in 2065, Floppy unfolds in a world where rapid technological innovation has outpaced the planet’s ability to sustain itself. Resources are scarce, ecosystems are fractured, and survival depends on systems designed to optimize human life at a cost few fully understand.
At the center is Meraki, a young woman shaped by this fragile reality. Raised in a society that prioritizes efficiency over emotion, she navigates a life where memories are no longer entirely personal. They can be stored, altered, or erased—treated as both currency and burden. For some, letting go of the past is the only way to move forward.
But for Meraki, memory is identity.
As fragments of her past begin to fade—whether by design or decay—she finds herself caught between two worlds: one that urges her to adapt by shedding emotional weight, and another that pulls her toward the imperfect, painful truth of who she once was. The more she resists, the more unstable her reality becomes.
Through her journey, Floppy explores the quiet tension between progress and humanity, asking a deeply intimate question within a vast, futuristic landscape:
If your memories define you, what remains when they’re gone?
Faced with an irreversible choice, Meraki must decide whether to preserve the pieces of herself that hurt… or surrender them in exchange for survival.
